BJD protests shifting of science institute
The Biju Janata Dal members staged a dharna in the well of the Lok Sabha during Zero Hour protesting the UPA government’s decision to set up the proposed National Institute of Science at Kolkata instead of Bhubaneswar. Party leader Brij Kishore Tripathy said Orissa, which had been been a victim of ‘‘such ill-treatment in the past’’ did not have even a single IIT or IIM or any such central institution.
