Newkerala.com on MP Mr. Kharabela Swain's protest in the parliament
Lok Sabha adjourned before lunch
New Delhi: Speaker Somnath Chatterjee today adjourned the Lok Sabha abruptly just before lunch-recess as BJP member M A Kharabela Swain entered the well of the House, raising the issue of shifting of National Institute of Science from Bhubaneshwar.
Mr Swain, who had given notices on earlier occasions, wanted a reply from the Government. But, the Speaker did not allow him because he had not given notice today.
Persistently requesting the Speaker to allow him to raise the issue, Mr Swain said Leader of House Pranab Mukherjee could reply to his issue. But, Mr Chatterjee ruled that he had not given notice.
The angry BJP leader entered the well, leading to Mr Chatterjee adjourning the House minutes before the lunch-recess.
