NIS issue discussed in BJD meeting- The statesman

.....The alleged shifting of the NIS, the slow progress of work in railway projects as well as the regional centre of AIIMS, refusal to provide special financial package to the state were points made against the central government by several speakers.

BJD president Mr Naveen Patnaik who spoke in Oriya before switching over to Hindi, iterated his commitment to fulfil the dream of Biju Patnaik. He claimed that his government was a pro-poor government and listed out his achievements in the field of rural development, women enlightenment, programmes for farmers and attracting investment to the state.
Significantly, Mr Patnaik was the only speaker who did not utter a single word against the UPA government nor did he refer to the charges being hurled by the Opposition. .......
