A short chat with the person who filed the PIL
He said that the next high court date for the NIS issue is January 17th.
So, until then the stay order stands. He said the under secretary from Delhi came and spent close to 20 days in Cuttack to vacate the stay order, but was not successful. He has requested the central government to produce various documents in the Cuttack high court. Whether the central government produces any document (beyond the affidavit) or not remains to be seen.
